Tidbits - 8/23/04

Normally, I do not post items on the weekend. This weekend, however, was different.

I did post some items that seemed to be out of the ordinary or that needed an immediate reaction. Probably will not happen very often. We also added the Cybercast News Service ticker. CNS is a good source for news and information.

Here are today's interesting items.

+Sen. John Edwards says that there is a direct connection to the Bush campaign from the Swift Boats Veterans organization.

Since Mr. Edwards is so good at drawing connections, I wonder if he can see the direct connection between his work as an ambulance chasing, trial lawyer and the increases in health care costs and malpractice insurance premiums.

+Former New York Mayor, Ed Koch, a Democrat, says that he is voting for Bush.

Koch has never been shy with his opinions and does say that he disagrees with Bush on domestic issues, but says that terrorism trumps all issues and that Kerry has no stomach for going after terrorists.

+The Kerry campaign has appointer Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) as it official head of the "truth squad" during the Republican National Convention next week in New York.

This, of course, diminishes Sen. Chuck Shumer's role in the campaign.

If Sen. Clinton was really looking for the truth, she would have little to say next week.

More later.
