Journalist Becomes Open Supporter of Kerry

An editor for the Chicago Tribune, William Rood, has decided to step into the Swift Boat fray.

In a first person article, Rood describes seem of the events surrounded Kerry's service in Vietnam. Rood supports Kerry's account of the events.

Rood's action makes him a part of the campaign organization since the article was written, in part, at the request of Kerry.

By doing so, Rood has made himself part of the story and no longer an "un-biased" journalist. His paper, The Chicago Tribune, long a support of wacky liberal ideas and candidates encouraged the story.

While the Tribune will do as it pleases, Rood should have known better. In my opinion, he has lost his credibility as a journalist and editor and should resign until the end of the election cycle.
