Former Senate Majority Leader, Bob Dole, has suggested that Sen.. Kerry not only apologize for his anti-war remarks to Congress, but also to come clean with a full accounting of his war record. Noting that Sen. Kerry's wounds were largely superficial, the former Republican Senator said that Kerry has gone to far in touting his war record.
Saying that in one instance he accuses his fellow Vietnam veterans of war atrocities and in the next instance Kerry says that he is qualified to be President because he is a Vietnam Veteran.
This could be a larger problem for Kerry than the Swift Boat Veterans. Dole clearly draws a distinction between Kerry's anti-war activities and his assertion that his service was honorable.
