GOP wooing Keyes to take on Obama

This would be an exciting race.

The floundering Illinois Republican Party is looking to conservative, African American, Alan Keyes, to run for the Senate. Keyes entry into the race, if true, would be the toughest opponent for Barack Obama and would be a classic liberal vs conservative race.

Keyes, currently a resident of Maryland, would only have to take up Illinois resident by the election date. So what, junior Senator from New York, Hillary Rodham Clinton, is only "technically" a resident of New York. There is a house there, but she rarely is unless campaigning or selling books.

I think that Keyes would be a good selection for the Republicans in Illinois, who are in disarray, he is articulate, conservative, and available. I would support his nomination and election.
