Calif. Supreme Court Voids Gay Marriages

In what may be an unprecedented move, the California Supreme Court voided more than 4,000 gay and lesbian marriages performed in San Francisco earlier this year.

The Court simply noted that the licenses issued by the city violated legislation and voter-approved measures that defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

One of the higher profile marriages voided is that of former talk show host and lesbian, Rosie O'Donnel. Fortunately, she can't blame this on Bush.

I'm sure, however, that this isn't over. Someone will probably files in Federal Court. Since the often overturned 9th Federal district Court is in SF, I am certain it will be filled there.
