Kerry to oppose US withdrawal

Here;s a story that has no surprises. Sen. John Kerry will announce his opposition to the troop withdrawals from Europe and Asia.

This announcement comes from a Senator who has voted against every defense related bill for years plus voted not to finance troops in Iraq.

Kerry states that this withdrawal will undermine alliances and weaken America's ability to project power overseas.

Unfortunately, for Senator Kerry the Cold War is over and troops in Germany need no longer fear Russian tanks rolling into Berlin.

Whoever advised the Senator to take this stand is making a big mistake. Kerry cannot suddenly become a hawk when his voting record shows the mildest of doves.
