Tidbits - 8/17/94

I've seen a couple items about John Kerry flying in his hairdresser from Washington. Isn't there anything else to report? Who cares?

Here are some interesting items.

+The Kerry campaign and its supporters are saying a new Bush campaign ad about Senator Kerry's record in the Intelligence committee is unfair and a distortion.

The figures quoted in the ad are taken directly from Senate records. They are facts. Whether John Kerry attended meetings of a committee, especially one as important and the Intelligence committee, are fair game. Attendance at his job is an issue. When you say that you are an expert in an area, you must have the record to prove it. Missing 75% of the meetings prove just the opposite.

+Kerry's "seared" memory about Cambodia is the subject of an editorial by Pat Buchanan.

Yes, Mr. Kerry, character does count.
