Tidbits - 8/11/04

Here are some interesting items.

+Some self-described news legends like CBS' Mike Wallace believe they can do just about anything including double-parking in Manhattan.

Last night, Wallace's driver was questioned by city inspectors about illegally parking Wallace's limousine.

When Wallace saw the event he became disruptive, lunging at one of the inspectors, and was arrested and taken to a nearby precinct.

He was later released and issued a summons for disorderly conduct. As usual, the 86 year-old buffoon believes he did nothing wrong.

+There are a couple of small problems with John Kerry's Cambodia claims.

John Kerry says that he remembers sitting on a boat in Cambodia on Christmas 1968 listening to President Nixon saying that we were not in Cambodia.

Problem 1: Richard Nixon was not President until January 1969.

Problem 2: There was a standing order for US troops NOT to go into Cambodia.

So, John Kerry lied about who was the president or is just too stupid to know.

If John Kerry was in Cambodia in December 1968, he was there illegally and in direct violation of standing orders fighting his own private war.
