Tidbits - 8/13/04

It is Friday the 13th, but there are still some interesting items out there.

+The three major networks and CNN were all complaining about the "harsh" attacks on John Kerry by the Vice-President. None of them, however, reported about the Kerry team response.

+Republicans and Democrats alike often asks, "Where does Senator Kerry stand on an issue, any issue.?" It really depends on the prevailing wind and the latest poll.

On the issue of same-sex marriage, the Senator seems to be playing both ends of the fence.

He claims that he is against same-sex marriage, but his previous comments and voting record show differently.

In 1996, the flip-flopping senator voted against the Defense of Marriage Act proposed by his favorite president, Clinton.

So, Mr. Kerry what do you stand for?

And let's not forget Teresa Heinz Kerry. She also has an opinion in same sex marriage. In fact, she told a group of homosexuals that they "symbolize family."

+Yet another flip.

In Nevada, John Kerry criticized the President for his decision to use Yucca Mountain as the repository for nuclear waste. Not so fast Senator.

In 1999, the occasional Senator from Massachusetts signed a letter in favor of accelerating the timing for making Yucca Mountain ready to accept the material.
