Tidbits 10/11/04

Today is the "celebrated" Columbus Day. Most schools, government offices, banks, and others are taking advantage of another day off. I believe that many government workers receive to many days off compared to the rest of us. I have worked for organizations that only offer employees 5 or 6 days a years as holidays less when Christians and New Years fall on a weekend.

Here are some interesting items.

+62 television stations, most owned by Sinclair, will be airing a documentary about Senator Kerry within the next two weeks. The documentary is highly critical of the senator upon his return from Vietnam. The film focuses, in part, on Kerry's testimony before the Senate and his trip to Paris to meet with the enemy. Many of the allegations made in the film are similar to those made by the Swift Boat Veterans.

The film will be seen on stations in battleground states.

The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth have completed additional ads that will start running Thursday in battleground states. The new commercials feature other Swift Boat Veterans talking about their experience and how Kerry cannot be trusted.

+Teresa Heinz Kerry is at it again.

At a dinner and rally, Heinz Kerry says that her husband would not deploy troops as a result of "greed for oil."

She is not helping at all. Some people used to find her refreshing and straight talking, I just think she is out of touch with the world.
