It should not be a surprise to anyone that the employees of CBS and NBC give political contributions to Democrats of left-leaning organizations. The bigger question is should employees of a news organization be allowed to give political contributions?
Should the people that write, produce, and report the news be able to color the news based on their political beliefs and contributions? Probably not, but all you have to do is look at Rathergate and you know that network news is biased and biased in favor of those that receive the contributions.
Nevertheless, Sumner Redstone, CEO of Viacom, the parent company of CBS, also donated to Democrats, but has come out in favor of Bush in this election. Redstone notes that a continued Bush administration would be better for Viacom.
