In a desperate move to help his struggling campaign, Senator Tom Daschle produced a campaign ad showing him hugging President Bush after Bush's address to the nation following the 9/11 attacks.
During a Wednesday news conference Daschle spent much of his time defending the hug and the ad.
Daschle claims that the hug showed bipartisanship during a time of crisis and that is the kind of leadership we need.
Daschle a true obstructionist in theSenate has never been known for his bipartisan look at any issue. Daschle claims the hug was not contrived, but anyone who knows Daschle knows better.
