Kobe Bryant Case with update

I really did not want to comment on the Kobe Bryant case. I believe that he did it, but the bigger questions is that what he did is a part of a bigger problem with professional sports. Now that some sports take people directly from high school, these young men and women are not mature enough to handle the temptations and rigors of professional sports.

Therefore, you have problems like Kobe and others who do not know how to handle themselves as mature adults. For the most part these athletes have been coddled and sheltered their entire career from high school on. Things have been "taken care of" for them.

Just look at the University of Colorado. By keeping Gary Barnet, the university has said that sex parties for recruits are raping of coeds is fine as long as you don't get caught. And don't tell the coaches.

Here is an article about various filings in the Kobe Bryant Case. -->My Way - News

UPDATE!!
In a related article in today's Denver Post, the attorney for the victim states that she considered pulling out of the case because of "betrayal" by the court and the district attorney. The attorney cites two incidents.

First, the release of the victim's name in September and second, the mistaken release of trascripts during the rape shield hearing. The release of the transcript was alledgely a mistake by the court reporter.

I believe that the court reporter should be held liable in criminal and civil actions for violating the victim's privacy and violating Colorado's rape shield law.

I truly hope that Kobe's victim does not withdraw. This would be just further evidence that athletes can get away with . . . well, almost anything.
