Legendary television star, Andy Griffith, is reported dead at 86.
Known primarily for his role as Sheriff Andy Taylor, Griffith also starred in Matlock and made many guest appearances in other series and television movies.
While the star of the Andy Griffith show he helped other cast members on their paths to stardom Don Knotts, Jim Nabors and Ron Howard.
While I enjoyed the show in my younger years, my favorite routine was "They call it Football". A comedy routine about a country boy's first experience with watching a game. Classic.
Griffith died in his North Carolina home early today.
