Do You Remember? - Update

Headlines were made during the the trail of Charles Manson when President Richard Nixon proclaimed Manson guilty.  Nixon did say it.  He admitted he said it. The trial went on and, in the end, Manson was convicted and continues to reside in a California prison.

It appears Attorney General Eric Holder is taking a page from the Nixon playbook.

While he second day of trial was going forward in a Washington DC courtroom, Holder decided to use his speech at the NAACP convention in Houston to proclaim that Voter ID laws like the one in Texas were "guilty."

“We will not allow political pretext to disenfranchise American citizens of their most precious rights,” Holder said.

As usual Holder is ignoring Supreme Court decision that upheld Voter ID laws and the Texas law is virtually a copy of the Indiana law that passed constitutional muster.

As the chief law enforcement officer and an attorney(?), Holder should know better than to comment on a pending case he is prosecuting through his department.

Just another example of politics is better than law as practiced by the Obama administration.  In a few days, Holder will no longer admit he said it.

More from Fox News.

One more thing, the NAACP required photo ID to register for the convention and attend Holder's speech.
