Tuesday Briefing - - 6.14.05

Good morning . . .

Following the Jackson verdict, pundits on both sides of the trial have been going non-stop. The media is going "Jackson wild" like many of his fans outside the courtroom.

Chicago media did a variety of stories on the case including some very silly interviews in Gary IN, Jackson's hometown. Interviews with "people on the street" showed surprise about the verdict and a definite sense that the jury got it wrong.

A USA Today poll showed that 48% of those interviewed disagreed with the verdict.

This blog only reported the verdict in the Jackson case as a public service. There will not be any further items on Michael Jackson here.

There is another new book on the Clintons about to be released. This one is the most unflattering of all and concentrates on the ambitions of Hillary Clinton.

Author Ed Klein's book "The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President: is set for release next week. It contains one of the most shocking charges about the Clintons.

Klein says that Bill Clinton raped his wife in Bermuda in 1979 with the result the conception of Chelsea.

According to the Drudge Report, the rape claim is just the beginning of the sensational book.

The junior senator from New York is said to be outraged by the claims and is considering suing Klein for libel.
