Tidbits - 8/12/04

Here are today's interesting items.

+Here's an interesting twist. Teresa Heinz Kerry claims that she is African-American. This is only "technically" true. She was born in Mozambique, but her upbringing was as a child of wealth and privledge surrounded by servants. I'm not sure this qualifies and some black radio stations agree.

+Not that President Bush is on the campaign trail and "mocking" Senator Kerry's continual waffling on the Iraq question, the Kerry campaign staff are becoming frustrated and unable to send a clear message.

Perhaps, it is the same problem that Kerry has with maintaining a stance on any issue.

+After eight years together, Microsoft and NBC are looking to change the relationship. Discussion surround a number of options including pulling the plug on the relationship.

The combination of NBC and Microsoft was supposed to revolutionize cable news. Now, however, MSNBC is a distant third in cable news. It has not been able to succeed consistently and its liberal bias against the current administration is getting stronger everyday. Just this morning while other cable news networks were shoeing the Vice President's campaign stop, MSNBC was in commercial and weather. I sure hope that Imus in the Morning finds a new cable home.
